Briefing<\/strong><\/pre>\n
After being the most rapidly growing economic entity in Southeast Asia for some time, \"\"Taiwan was presented with a series of unbalanced social phenomena. Various money-chasing activities were popular nationwide, such as brokerage firms that were filled with housewives. Traditional value systems collapsed. Christians faced similar economic challenges from society. There was a need for Biblical teaching and reflection in early 90\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Influenced by the Lausanne Congress for World Evangelization, the Chinese Coordination\u00a0Centre of World Evangelism held the fifth Convention at Hong Kong in summer 1996. Representatives from Taiwan were asked to lead the largest group meeting entitled, \u201cEconomic Ethics and Treasure Management.\u201d It was well-received with enthusiastic response.<\/p>\n
The need for such discussions seemed clear. After two years of preparation, Jubilee \"\"Economic Ethics Foundation was established in the year 2000. With staff members ranging from economic and business professionals to well-known speakers, it soon gained the support and acceptance of church leaders and seminaries. The highly selective topics discussed each year are well-received by congregations in Taiwan.<\/p>\n
The Jubilee Economics Ethics Foundation is engaged in following fields:<\/p>\n

  1. Promotion and hosting of the \u201cBiblical Economic Ethics Seminar\u201d convention in cooperation with the Chinese Evangelical Seminary, Taipei every year since year 2000.<\/li>\n
  2. Publication of the above seminars and translations of biblical and theological articles related to economic ethics into Chinese.<\/li>\n
  3. Hold a forum and publications for economic ethics studies in cooperation with Tamkang University every year since 2008.\"\"<\/li>\n
  4. Providing speakers for Sunday services for churches in Taiwan on related topics.<\/li>\n
  5. Teaching courses and related forums at universities and seminaries.<\/li>\n
  6. Support of biblical economic and wealth related teachings; and providing speakers to Christian business groups both in Taiwan and to overseas Chinese.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
